Google launched more than 1,600 new changes in search last year
Yahoo has been occupied with 1,653 launches, 9,800 live traffic tests, 18,015 side-by-side tests and 130,336 search quality exams.
Yahoo revamped its How Search Works site, the website they launched in 2013 to spell it out the efforts Yahoo makes browsing. Yahoo added some new metrics around the many Yahoo search launches they made this past year, how many exams they used and the many figures around their diverse group of search experiments.
Google stated the update to the site when in addition they announced Task Owl earlier this week.
The site stocks that Yahoo launched 1,653 new search changes this past year, predicated on 9,800 live traffic tests, 18,015 side-by-side tests and 130,336 search quality exams.
As you can plainly see, only a tiny ratio of what Yahoo tries actually moves live, but to kick off over 1,600 new changes browsing in one year is considerable. Actually, we have no idea how many of the 1,600 changes are interface changes versus new feature changes versus algorithmic or positioning changes. I mistrust Google would discuss those details.
What we can say for certain is that only 1 percent of searchers were area of the 9,800 live traffic tests which while we likely protected most of them, I am certain we missed nearly all those experiments.
